Colohan, Flake and Jefferson named Scholar All-Americans
PROVO, Utah – Mikayla Colohan, Elise Flake and Alyssa Jefferson were named United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Americans, the league announced on Wednesday.
Colohan and Flake were named to the first team while Jefferson garnered second team honors.
Colohan and Flake led the Cougar offense as they combined for 36 goals and 14 assists. Jefferson anchored a strong BYU defense that recorded 14 shutouts and she added four assists to the dominant offensive play.
In the classroom, Colohan has a 3.48 GPA in exercise and wellness, Flake is studying family life studies and has a 3.54 GPA and Jefferson boasts a 3.50 GPA while studying communication disorders. Flake and Jefferson will be graduating in April 2020.
This is the second-straight year that Flake has received this honor as she was also on the third team in 2018.
All three were also named United Soccer Coaches All-Americans following the end of the season, adding to the list of conference, regional and national awards given to the trio.
