Four athletes named to Scholar All-West Region Teams
PROVO, Utah – Alyssa Jefferson, Mikayla Colohan, Elise Flake and Lizzy Braby were named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-West Region Teams, the league announced on Monday.
Jefferson, Colohan and Flake were named to the first team while Braby garnered third team honors.
Colohan and Flake led the Cougar offense as they combined for 36 goals and 14 assists. Jefferson anchored a strong BYU defense that recorded 14 shutouts and she added four assists to the dominant offensive play. Braby led the team with 13 assists while adding five goals.
In the classroom, Jefferson boasts a 3.50 GPA while studying communication disorders, Colohan has a 3.48 GPA in exercise and wellness, Flake is studying family life studies and has a 3.54 GPA and Braby is in the exercise and wellness program with a 3.66 GPA.
This is the second-straight year that Flake has received this honor as she was also on the first team in 2018.
