PROVO, Utah – BYU women's soccer head coach Jennifer Rockwood and her staff have been named the United Soccer Coaches West Regional Staff of the Year.

Joining Coach Rockwood in the recognition are assistant coaches Brent Anderson and Steve Magleby.

In a record-breaking 25th season, Rockwood and her assistant coaches led the Cougars to a 21-1-1 overall record this season and an 8-0-1 record in the West Coast Conference. BYU won its second-consecutive WCC Championship as Rockwood was awarded the coach of the year accolade. The Cougars were the only remaining undefeated team going into the NCAA Tournament as their only loss came against No. 1 Stanford in the quarterfinals.

In the program's 20th NCAA tournament appearance, the coaching staff led the Cougars to their third quarterfinal game with the last time coming in 2012. BYU hosted through the Sweet 16, earning dominant wins over Boise State (5-1), Louisville (4-0) and NC State (3-0).

In her career, Rockwood has recorded 16 conference championships with seven in the WCC, had 10 players named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watchlist while adding 27 United Soccer Coaches/NSCAA All-America honors.
