No. 7 BYU plays at No. 14 Kansas and Kansas State
PROVO, Utah – The No. 7 BYU women's soccer team continues on the road at No. 14 Kansas on Thursday, Sept. 19 and Kansas State on Saturday, Sept. 21.

IN THE RANKINGS. With the announcement of the United Soccer Coaches and Top Drawer Soccer polls for this week, the Cougars moved up to No. 7 in both polls. BYU has also consistently held the top spot in the United Soccer Coaches West Region poll.
LAST TIME ON THE FIELD. The Cougars were led by a strong defense as senior defender Danika Serassio scored her first career goal in the 64th minute against Utah Valley on Monday night, giving BYU a 1-0 victory. Goalkeeper Sabrina Davis tallied four saves to lead the defense to its fourth-consecutive shutout and fifth of the season.
UNDEFEATED HISTORY. It has been 14 years since the Cougars have started a season 6-0. In 2005, BYU went on to have a 15-2-4 overall record, but lost a heartbreaker against Weber State in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
THE STRENGTH OF THE DEFENSE. In six games played, the Cougars have only allowed one goal, a penalty kick against Mississippi State. Davis leads the defense in goal with a .929 save percentage, ranking her third in the nation. As a team, BYU is tied for second in goals against average (.200) and second in save percentage (.929).

THE JAYHAWKS. Kansas is looking to improve its win-streak to four games as the Jayhawks have most recently beaten Purdue, Northwestern and Western Michigan. The only loss of the season came at DePaul, with Kansas falling short 1-0. The Jayhawk defense has only allowed three goals this season while the offense is led by Katie McClure's seven goals and three assists.
COUGARS VS. JAYHAWKS. The Cougars lead the series 3-1 with their most recent win coming in 2017 as BYU took a 3-2 victory at South Field.

THE WILDCATS. Kansas State's pair of wins this season came against South Dakota State and Tulsa as the Wildcats won 2-0 in both matches. On Sept. 12, Kansas State fell short, 3-2, to the West Coast Conference's Gonzaga. Laramie Hall and Katie Cramer have scored three goals apiece to lead the Wildcats.
COUGARS VS. WILDCATS. This will be the first meeting between BYU and Kansas State.
