SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Junior midfielder Mikayla Colohan was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Colohan scored both game-winners in the Cougars' opening weekend of play. She leads the team with two goals, four points, 12 shots and 175 minutes played.

BYU topped Alabama 1-0 in the season opener with Colohan scoring the lone goal of the match in the ninth minute off a Lizzy Braby assist.

At Mississippi State and the game tied at 1-all, Colohan stepped up to take a free kick in the 85th minute and buried it into the back of the net to lift the Cougars over the Bulldogs, 2-1.

The Kaysville, Utah native has also earned recognition this season as a MAC Hermann Trophy watch list nominee and was named to the WCC Preseason Team.
