BYU welcomes Argentina National Team to South Field

PROVO, Utah – BYU women's soccer head coach Jennifer Rockwood has announced a scrimmage against the Argentina Women's National Team on Thursday, Apr. 4.

The scrimmage will be in addition to the remaining scheduled in the 2019 spring season. Argentina is traveling to Utah and will be playing the Cougars and Utah Valley.

Argentina's squad is preparing for its appearance at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France this summer. They will be playing in Group D which features Japan, England and Scotland. The team's current FIFA Ranking is 36 after making a World Cup appearance after a 12 year hiatus. 

Kickoff will take place at 7 p.m. MDT on South Field and admission to the game is free. The scrimmage will be televised on BYUtv with Spencer Linton and Carla Haslam Swenson commentating and Lauren McClain as the sideline reporter.
