Flake receives Scholar All-West Region honors

PROVO, Utah – Junior Elise Flake was named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-West Region First Team.

Flake's 14 goals and five assists for 33 points led the BYU offense this season as she took 55 shots and tallied 1,230 minutes on the field while playing in all 19 games.

In the classroom, the forward has a 3.51 GPA and is studying family life.

Her success on the field and in the classroom, have aided her to be named to four different awards: All-WCC First Team, All-West Region First Team, Scholar All-West Region First Team and All-Academic Honorable Mention.

The last player to receive scholar honors was in 2016 when Michele Vasconcelos earned Scholar All-America Second Team and Scholar All-West Region First Team.
