Four players receive All-West Region Honors

PROVO, Utah – Juniors Elise Flake and Rachel Bingham Lyman and sophomore Mikayla Colohan were named to the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's All-West Region First Team while junior Sabrina Macias Davis earned Second Team Honors.

Flake led the offense this season with 14 goals and five assists for a total of 33 points. She took 55 shots on the season and tallied 1,230 minutes on the field while playing in all 19 games.

Lyman played significant minutes as a defender and tallied six assists and one goal. Her goal aided the Cougars to top nationally ranked Santa Clara at South Field for the West Coast Conference title.

Colohan, a midfielder, aided the BYU offense with five goals and seven assists for 17 points. She also led the WCC in shots attempted with 82. In the final three games of the season she recorded one goal against Santa Clara and three assists at Loyola Marymount and TCU.

Davis earned her playing time in goal at the beginning of the season and went on to tally 51 saves, including two stops on penalty kick attempts in conference action. She earned four solo shutouts this season and shared time in goal in two other shutout victories.
