PROVO, Utah – Ashley Hatch has been named as one of 15 women's soccer semifinalists for the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy, the top individual award in college soccer.

Hatch was one of 28 players named to the watch list for the award before the 2015 season. She was omitted from this season's watch list, but became a semifinalist based on her season performance.

The senior from Gilbert, Arizona, finished the year tied for third in the nation with 19 goals. She had two hat tricks, one of which helped BYU beat defending-champion Penn State on the road on Aug. 26.

Hatch helped the Cougars to their fifth-straight West Coast Conference championship and their first appearance in the third round of the NCAA tournament since 2012.

Lindsi Lisonbee Cutshall (2012) is the only other BYU player to be named a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy Award.

Three finalists for the award, as voted on by NCAA Division I soccer coaches, will be announced on Dec. 14.
