Medeiros named Academic All-District
PROVO, Utah – BYU senior midfielder Elena Medeiros was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District First Team for District 8 on Thursday.
Medeiros, a senior midfielder from Bountiful, Utah, is a marketing management major in BYU's Marriott School of Management. She has a cumulative GPA of 3.72.
On the field, Medeiros is having another excellent season, with four goals and four assists. She ranks 16th all-time in program history with 18 career goals.
District 8 consists of all NCAA Division I teams from Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington. Medeiros was one of 13 players named to the first team.
Medeiros will advance to the Academic All-America ballot, where first, second and third team honorees will be announced in November.
