SAN BRUNO, California – The West Coast Conference named BYU goalkeeper Hannah Clark its Player of the Week after her performance in a 3-0 shutout over Portland.

In Saturday's game, Clark played between the pipes for the first 73 minutes. She had three saves to hold the Pilots scoreless.

A key moment came in the 62nd minute, when she denied a penalty kick from Portland's Allison Wetherington, diving to her right to punch the attempt away from the goal.

Clark has done a superb job since replacing injured teammate Rachel Boaz on Aug. 26 against Penn State. She has gone 11-1-1 with five complete game shutouts, while playing in at least half of four other shutouts.

For the Cougars, it's the third WCC Player of the Week designation this season. Ashley Hatch and Michele Vasconcelos have also been honored in past weeks.
