PROVO, Utah – No. 8 BYU women's soccer plays at South Field against Portland on Saturday, after back-to-back games on the road.

BYU Storylines

The Cougars (11-2-1, 2-1-1 West Coast Conference) will be without the nation's leading goal-scorer on Saturday, as Ashley Hatch reports to U.S. National Team camp the same day. Goals have already been at a premium for BYU lately, as it scored just once against LMU and was shut out at Pepperdine in its last two games.

MAC Hermann Trophy candidate Nadia Gomes is tied for third in the nation with nine assists, which puts her on pace to contend with the program single-season record of 15 assists.

In the WCC Standings, the Cougars, who have won four-straight league titles, trail Pepperdine (3-0-1) and LMU (3-1-0).

Portland Storylines

The Pilots (7-3-3) opened WCC play with a tie against Pepperdine, a loss against LMU and a win against Gonzaga. Portland came into conference play with back-to-back wins against Oregon and UC Irvine.

Hannah Griffiths Boston leads the Pilots with seven goals and two assists. Allison Wetherington has four goals and four assists.
