BYU Storylines

The Cougars' win over reigning-NCAA-champion Penn State came on Ashley Hatch's second-career hat trick and seventh multiple-goal game. Hatch has scored all five of BYU's goals so far this season.

MAC Hermann Trophy candidate Nadia Gomes has three assists, putting her well on her way to eclipse her four assists from last year.

Goalkeeper Rachel Boaz sustained a broken hand against Penn State which required surgery. Her expected recovery time is four to six weeks.

Tennessee Storylines

The Volunteers (2-2) have done a good job of limiting opposing offenses. They allowed just 22 shots in their last two games, against East Tennessee State and Washington, combined.
