SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Following Friday's hat trick to knock off 2015 national champion Penn State, BYU's Ashley Hatch was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week.

Hatch scored the first two goals of the game and the game-winner against the No. 5 Nittany Lions. For the senior, it was the seventh multiple-goal game of her career and second hat trick. Hatch has scored all five of the Cougars' goals this season.

As a sophmore, Hatch was named WCC Player of the Week on Sept. 29, 2014 and Oct. 13, 2014.

Last season, BYU took home the award three times, as it went to Michele Vasconcelos, Nadia Gomes and Madie Lyons.
