Braby plays in New Zealand with U-19 US team
AUCKLAND, New Zealand – Incoming BYU freshman Lizzy Braby played with the U.S. Under-19 (U-19) Women’s National Team in three friendlies in New Zealand earlier this month.
“I can’t tell you how incredible the experience was playing with some of the best players in the country,” Braby said. “The coaching staff was awesome and so positive with us. It gave me motivation to work even harder.”
Braby, a midfielder from Murray, Utah, appeared as a substitute in all three games.
The team played against the full New Zealand Women’s National Team on June 14 and won 2-1, then played to a 4-4 draw against New Zealand's U-20 team on June 17 and a 4-1 win on June 21.
Braby began training with the U-19 team in May in Chula Vista, California.
