PROVO, Utah – BYU women’s soccer signed four recruits on Wednesday who will join the team this fall for the 2016 season. The group includes three players from Utah and one from California. The four players will be joined by four return missionaries to replace the three seniors the Cougars lost this past season.

Danika Bowman won a ECNL national championship and three ODP national championships and in 2012 attended a youth national team camp with current national team head coach Jill Ellis. She was a First Team All-League selection for three years and was a four-time scholar athlete at Redlands East Valley High School.

Lizzy Braby earned two First-Team All-State honors this season after starting all four years at Murray High School and being a captain for the past two seasons. She was a Utah State Cup champion and a regional finalist in her club soccer. Braby has been an honor roll student each of the past four years.

Elise Flake is a three-time Utah State Cup champion, a four-time ODP selection and a regional finalist in 2015. She was a five-time captain of her club team and was her high school team captain.

Brynlee Welch is a two-time Wendy’s High School All-Star and four-year letter winner at Mountain Crest High School. With her club she was a regional finalist twice and was a national semifinalist. She also earned sixth and seventh place finishes in the state 4x100 relay and was the track team captain.
