BYU has won three straight games to start the season and has done so by a 2-0 score in each contest. They defeated Cal in Hawaii, Colorado in Provo and Nebraska on the road. Junior goalkeeper Rachel Boaz has yet to allow a goal this season. Juniors Elena Medeiros and Hermann Trophy candidate Ashley Hatch have each scored two goals, while Nadia Gomes has a point in three consecutive games.

The past three Utah-BYU games have finished 1-0 with the home team winning. The past two games have been decided by a second-half penalty kick. The teams haven’t scored a goal against one another in the run of play in 240 minutes of action.

The Utes beat Houston 4-1, but lost to Cal State Fullerton 3-1 at home over the weekend. They were picked to finish 10th in the Pac-12 by the coaches. Utah has scored six goals by six different players so far this season. Wake Forest transfer goalkeeper Lindsey Luke is now in her senior year for the Utes. Luke played in the 2012 and 2014 shutout wins for Utah.

Stanford has only played Boston College since defeating Hawaii in their season opener 2-1. The Cardinal won 4-0 after the Eagles had a player sent off 25 minutes into the match. The Cardinal will face Cal Poly on the road on Friday before returning home to host the Cougars on Labor Day.
