Cougars close spring with South Field doubleheader
PROVO, Utah – BYU women’s soccer will finish its spring slate of exhibitions on Saturday, April 11 at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on South Field.
The Cougars will face Southern Utah at 11 a.m. MDT before taking on Utah at 5 p.m. Fans are encouraged to attend the matches, which are free and open to the public. It will be the last time to see the team before fall camp begins in August.
So far this spring, BYU has gone 5-1-0 and have a +19 goal differential. The Cougars beat Dixie, Westminster, UNLV, New Mexico and Arizona State before falling to UCLA 4-1 in Los Angeles this past weekend. Elena Medeiros scored BYU’s goal as she put a rebound off the crossbar into the net.
Utah has gone 1-1-1 so far this spring with a win over the Real Salt Lake Women 1-0, a 1-1 draw at Weber State and a 1-0 loss to USC in Las Vegas last weekend. The Utes will play Southern Utah at 2 p.m. on Saturday in Provo.
Southern Utah beat UNLV 2-0 and lost to Arizona State 2-0 in Las Vegas in February before defeating Dixie State 1-0 last weekend.
