PROVO, Utah -- Four BYU women's soccer players earned All-West region honors on Thursday.

Senior defender Annie Amos and sophomore forward Ashley Hatch were named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire All-West Region First Team, while sophomore midfielder Elena Medeiros and sophomore forward Michele Murphy were named to the All-West Region Third Team.

It is the first All-West Region honor for Amos, Murphy and Medeiros and is the second honor for Hatch after she was named to the third team last season.

Earlier this month, Amos was named West Coast Conference Defender of the Year and Hatch was WCC Co-Player of the Year along with Santa Clara's Sofia Huerta who was also on the All-West Region First Team. Murphy was named to the All-WCC First Team, while Medeiros made the All-WCC Second Team. Seven of the 11 All-West Region first team honorees were from the West Coast Conference.
