
Murphy's three goals and two assists earn WCC Player of the Week honor

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Sophomore forward Michele Murphy was named West Coast Conference Player of the Week this afternoon for her three goal, two assist performance in wins against Santa Clara and San Francisco last week.
In a 5-2 win over Santa Clara, Murphy scored BYU's second and fourth goals. She took four shots and put three of them on goal. In Saturday's 3-0 win over San Francisco, Murphy had a hand in each of the goals. She found Elena Medeiros for the game winner in the 61st minute before scoring the second goal of the night and finished it off with a pass to Ashley Hatch for the final margin of 3-0.
This is Murphy's first conference Player of the Week award and BYU's third this season. She was also named the College Sports Madness National Offensive Player of the Week and the College Sports Madness WCC Player of the Week.
