BYU to broadcast 21 women’s soccer matches in 2014

PROVO, Utah – BYU women's soccer will have 21 broadcasts of 16 games this fall on a variety of different BYU media platforms — television, radio, Internet and various mobile applications.

Now in its 15th season, BYUtv will continue its annual coverage of the Cougars by airing eight live home matches. The worldwide network that reaches 56 million homes in North America alone, will broadcast non-conference matches against Washington State, Baylor, Long Beach State and Oregon, as well as four West Coast Conference rivals Santa Clara, Portland, Gonzaga and San Francisco. Spencer Linton and Natalyn Lewis return as BYUtv's play-by-play and color analyst.

Games available on BYUtv can also be streamed on BYUtvsports.com as well as the BYUtv app on iOS, Android, Roku and Xbox 360. BYU Radio will also simulcast the audio on SiriusXM channel 143.

For the first time in program history four road contests and five home games will be broadcast live by the Cougar IMG Sports Network. The voice of the Cougars Greg Wrubell and color analyst Hugh Van Wagenen will team up on an audio broadcast available at BYUcougars.com and via the BYU iOS app.

“We are very fortunate to have such great broadcast partners,” BYU head coach Jennifer Rockwood said. “The exposure our soccer program receives through BYUtv, BYU Radio and now the Cougar IMG Sports Network is unprecedented in college soccer. The worldwide exposure is a big deal for our program and we know our fans and alumni appreciate it.”

In addition to the BYU broadcasts, the Cougars’ game at Utah will be televised on the Pac-12 Network and the match at Tennessee will be streamed on the SEC Network+, while additional road conference games may be carried on TheW.tv.
