Three chances to watch the soccer team this week

PROVO, Utah – The public will have three chances this week to get its first look at No. 22 BYU women's soccer before the start of the 2014 season. All three events will be free to attend and will be held on South Field.

On Wednesday, Aug. 13, the Cougars will hold the Blue/White game at 7 p.m. 

On Thursday, Aug. 14, evening practice will be open to the public. Practice will start at 7 p.m. and will include a meet and greet with the players and giveaways.

On Saturday, Aug. 16 the Cougars will take on returning BYU alumni in the alumni game at 7 p.m. Returning alumni include Karen Cook Saylor, Amber Wadsworth, Cloee Colohan, Jeni Willardson Viernes, Jennie Christianson Smith, McKinzie Olson, Katie Larkin Allen, Jessica Ringwood Apo, Rachel Manning, Lydia Ojuka, Erica Owens, Bobbi Tillotson Heaney, Ashleigh Jameson, Kassidy Shumway and Aleisha Rose.

The Cougar IMG Sports Network will broadcast the alumni game live on BYUcougars.com and the BYU Cougars iOS app under the Athletics tab. 

The regular season will begin with a road game at Cal State Fullerton on Friday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. PDT and can be heard on BYUcougars.com and the BYU Cougars app. The home opener takes place on Monday, Aug. 25 at 5:30 p.m. against Washington State and will be broadcast live on BYUtv and simulcast on BYU Radio Sirius XM channel 143. It can also be heard on the Cougar IMG Sports Network on BYUcougars.com and the BYU Cougars iOS app.
