BYU sponsors 3v3 tournament

PROVO, Utah - BYU women's soccer, along with BYU men's soccer and the 2014 Freedom Festival, will sponsor a 3v3 soccer tournament on July 3 and 4 at the Cougar Fields on BYU's campus.

This will be the eighth year of the tournament and will include divisions for all ages and abilities including youth divisions from U6-U16 and competitive and recreational high school divisions, along with adult and co-ed divisions. The tournament is a qualifying event for the 3v3 Challenge Nationals at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort.

Each team may have between three and six players, but co-ed teams must have at least two women and two men. Games will be played in two 12-minute halves on mini-fields. Qualifying rounds will be played on July 3 and 4 with the championship rounds on July 4.

Early bird registration on or before June 10 is $130 per team. After June 10, the cost is $150 per team. Games will be played at the Cougar Fields on BYU's campus located at 1500 North 900 East in Provo. Games will begin at 2 p.m. on July 3 and 11 a.m. on July 4.
