BYU takes on Colorado in NCAA Second Round
PROVO, Utah - No. 19 BYU women’s soccer travels to Tallahassee, Fla., for an NCAA second round matchup against Colorado. The game will kick off from the Seminole Soccer Complex on Thursday at 2:30 MT.
The Cougars defeated Weber State 4-0 in the NCAA first round behind three goals and an own goal. Junior Jaiden Thornock, senior Colette Jepson Smith and freshman Ella Johnson each scored on Friday night. The own goal came from a dangerous corner kick off the foot of sophomore Marissa Nimmer.
Second round opponent Colorado beat No. 4 seed Denver 1-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Buffs scored on a free kick that deflected off the wall and into the corner of the net for the game winner with six minutes remaining. The Buffs (13-6-2, 4-5-2) finished sixth in the Pac-12 this season and were one of six teams to make the NCAA tournament from their conference.
The winner of Thursday’s game will take on the winner of No. 1 seed Florida State and Ole Miss on Saturday at 10 a.m. MT.

Tickets can also be purchased at the Seminole Soccer Complex beginning at 3:30 p.m., on Thursday, November 21. One day tickets for either Thursday or Saturday are $7 for adults, $3 for children 3-18, students and senior citizens and $1 for children 2-years old and younger. A tournament ticket package including all three games is $13 for adults, $5 for childfren 3-18, students and senior citizens and $1 for children 2-years old and younger.
