Owens named to WCC All-Academic Team for the second time
PROVO, Utah - BYU senior goalkeeper Erica Owens was named to her second straight West Coast Conference All-Academic Team on Friday.
Owens was one of 11 players from the West Coast Conference named to the All-Academic team. The fifth-year senior graduated last spring with a degree in Exercise & Wellness. She has maintained a 3.71 cumulative GPA and currently leads the conference in goals against average, as well as shutouts.
Annie Amos, Sarah Chambers, Paige Hunt and Marissa Nimmer were all named WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention. All five Cougars were named to the last WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
No. 19 BYU will close out the regular season with Senior Day on Saturday, Nov. 9 against Saint Mary's. The game will kick off at 1 p.m. MST.
