No. 20 BYU begins season-ending homestand

PROVO, Utah - The No. 20 BYU women's soccer team will host San Diego in its only West Coast Conference game this week. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1 at South Field and will be televised on BYUtv.

The Cougars (11-4-1, 5-1-0) have shut out their opponents in four straight games and are coming off a 1-0 upset victory over No. 6 Portland.

Goalkeeper Erica Owens leads the WCC in goals against average and shutouts, while Niki Fernandes, Cloee Colohan and Ashley Hatch are in the top 10 in points.

San Diego (10-7-0, 3-3-0) is coming off a 3-1 win over Gonzaga and a 2-0 loss to Portland on the road last week. San Diego has split their conference games to this point winning and losing one game each week.

The Toreros are led by Emily Dillon, who has scored eight goals and assisted on three more. Michaela Dooley has also scored six goals for San Diego. Goalkeeper Michelle Craft has allowed a goal and a half per game.

Friday's game is the start of a three-game homestand to close out the regular season. BYU will host Pacific and Saint Mary's next week.

Friday night is also a Fall Fest, with fun decorations, pumpkin smashing and more polaroid shots. Bring a blanket and get cozy.
