Introducing Ella Johnson

No. 8 Centerville, Utah

Ella Johnson is one of the defenders in this year's freshman class. She was a state finalist in three straight seasons from 2010-2012.

Her favorite food in the freezer aisle is ice cream, either a chocolate candy type like Snickers or strawberry.

When she decided where to go BYU was just what she was looking for.

"I was looking for a great school with a great atmosphere," Johnson said. "It just had everything I was looking for."

She just wants to be part of the team and contribute in any way she can.

"I want to just do my part," Johnson said. "I want to do whatever I can to help the team succeed. However I fit into that role will be great."

She knows that she may not contribute completely on the field, but she's excited for the season anyway.

"I want to get a lot better and hopefully see the field a bit," Johnson said. "Just meeting lots of new people, having new experiences and becoming more self-reliant."
