Season starts strong in Cancun
CANCUN, Mexico – The BYU women’s gymnastics season got off to a solid start at the Cancun Gymnastics Classic, scoring a 194.475, behind No. 10 Michigan, 196.575, but topping No. 9 Oregon State, 193.600, in the first meet of the 2013 season.
The team produced well in all four rotations with several standouts making their mark in the season’s first meet. Michigan took the early lead after the first rotation and BYU and Oregon State held steady in second and third throughout each rotation with a strong showing from the Wolverines to lead throughout the meet.
