BYU Travels to Tucson for Tri-Meet
PROVO -- The BYU women’s gymnastics team (10-6-2) will try to end a four meet losing streak as they travel to Tucson to take on the Arizona, New Hampshire and Texas Women’s University on Friday. The meet will begin at 7 p.m. in the McKale Center.
The Cougars have already met the Wildcats twice this season, each winning one meet. BYU and Arizona first met in a tri-meet at Utah State where the Cougars defeated both the Wildcats and Aggies with a score 193.075. In their second meeting, despite the Cougars scoring their second-highest score of the season, Arizona defeated BYU 195.350-195.150.
BYU also defeated Texas Women’s in the two team’s only meeting this season. The Cougars received their highest score of the season in the meet with a 195.200.
New Hampshire will be the only unfamiliar opponent in the meet. The two teams have faced two mutual opponents, LSU and George Washington. Both teams defeated George Washington but suffered a loss to LSU.
