PROVO -- The BYU women’s gymnastics team will face two top twenty teams this weekend in Iowa when they take on No. 14 Iowa State and No. 17 Michigan. The meet will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday in Hilton Coliseum.

“Win, lose or draw we are excited to compete,” Cougar head coach Brad Cattermole said. “I can see the excitement in our workouts because we are no longer worried about getting hurt but rather about the scores that we are capable of receiving.”

Although BYU has not been victorious thus far in the season, the Cougars have seen tremendous improvement from last season and will look to improve in this meet as well. In the last meet BYU posted several career-best which is encouraging for Cattermole and his squad.

“These girls are improving every day,” said Cattermole. “Those who have been really successful for us so far are those who have battled back from adversity and they want to win.”

The meet will be webcast via Iowa State’s website and can be viewed by clicking here.
