Cougars Take On Thunderbirds in First Meet
PROVO -- After months of preparations, the BYU gymnastics team will challenge Southern Utah for the first meet in the 2010 season. Competition for will begin at 7 p.m. in the Smith Fieldhouse on BYU campus.
The Cougars will look to bounce back after a disappointing season last year due to many injuries. Head coach Brad Cattermole is optimistic for the season’s begin and is anticipating big things from his team.
“I’m excited to get going and get things started this season,” Cattermole said. “Last year we worried about surviving and this year we want to stick it.”
SUU swept BYU last season with the Thunderbirds defeating the Cougars both at home and on the road. In the second meeting SUU won 194.675-189.125.
