Cougars Go Psychedelic
PROVO -- Pull out your bellbottoms, big hair and psychedelic love beads for "FHE Disco Night" to support the Cougars as the gymnastics team prepares to battle No. 10 Missouri in the last of a series of home meets Monday at 8:30 p.m. in the Smith Fieldhouse.
In its last two meets, BYU sank its claws into Utah State and Boise State, dominating Utah State 196.425-195.250, and Boise State 196.725-194.175. BYU, currently 5-3, hopes for a repeat performance, setting consecutive new season highs during each meet.
BYU last competed against Missouri during the Cat Classic in Missouri, with the Cougars taking second place to the Tigers 197.350-196.125. In the individual championship that followed, the teams were evenly matched with Kari Lords taking first on beam (9.950) and on floor (9.900) and Missouri's Alisha Robinson taking first in vault (9.900) and on vault (9.875).
Tickets for Monday's meet are available at the BYU Ticket Office or by calling 800-322-BYU1 or 378-BYU1. Admission is $5 for adults; $4 for senior citizens, BYU faculty, and students without an All-Sport Card; and $15 for a family pass. Admission is free to students with an All-Sport Card.
