BYU Women's Gymnastics to Face the Buckeyes

PROVO, Utah — The BYU women’s gymnastics team travels to Ohio State to take on the Buckeyes Friday evening in the Covelli Center.

MEET NOTES

Meet Information

This will be the first regular-season meeting between the Cougars and Buckeyes in women’s gymnastics. Ohio State has been ranked in the Road to Nationals Top-25 during all nine weeks of the 2023 season.

THE BUCKEYES. No. 13 Ohio State last competed at the Big Five meet in Lincoln, Nebraska with a team score of 196.750. Michigan State won the session with a score of 197.675 with the host Cornhuskers second at 196.925. Minnesota (195.800) and Rutgers (195.225) rounded out the team results.Three career-high scores were tied by Buckeyes at the meet: Payton Harris on vault (9.950), Ella Hodges (9.925) and Tory Vetter on floor (9.875).

THE COUGARS. BYU last competed on Wednesday, Mar. 1 against the Alaska Seawolves in the final home meet of the 2023 season at the Marriott Center. The morning meet featured five new career highs, led by a 9.925 on floor for sophomore Sophie Dudley. The Cougars beat the Seawolves 196.350-190.125.
