Sadie Miner-Van Tassell takes home MRGC accolades in Week 2
LOGAN, Utah - On Monday, the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference honored senior Sadie Miner-Van Tassell as Gymnast of the Week.
No. 16 BYU took home a win against the No. 22-ranked Nebraska Huskers on Saturday, Jan. 15 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Cougars finished on top with a score of 195.750-193.925.
Miner-Van Tassell had a big night as she took home the awards for highest score on vault (9.825) and beam (9.850) in her season debut. She was also awarded the All-Around with a final score of 39.325 over Nebraska’s Emma Spence with a 39.050.
Posting three high scores in week 2, Miner-Van Tassell earned the MRGC Gymnast of the Week for the Cougars.
