No. 12 BYU to Compete at NCAA Regionals in West Virginia

PROVO, Utah – The NCAA announced on Monday that No. 12 BYU will compete in the Morgantown Regionals hosted by No. 35 West Virginia on April 1-3.

Coming off their second-straight Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference title, the Cougars sit as the third-highest seed in the regional.

Competition will kick off on Thursday, April 1, when No. 33 Penn State and No. 35 West Virginia battle it out in the first round. The winner between the two will advance to the next day of competition. 

The second round of competition takes place on April 2. BYU will compete at 1:00 p.m. EDT against No. 5 California, No. 27 Ohio State and No. 28 Towson. The evening session will feature No. 4 Michigan, No. 13 UCLA and No. 29 Kent State and the winner between Penn State and West Virginia. 

The top two teams from each second-round session will compete in the Regional finals on Saturday, April 3. The two teams in the Regional finals will then qualify to compete in the NCAA Championship meet on April 16-17.
