Abbey Miner-Alder honored by MRGC for third consecutive week
LOGAN, Utah - For the third week in a row, senior Abbey Miner-Alder received weekly recognition from the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference. On Monday, the MRGC awarded Alder Vault Specialist of the Week and Co-Floor Specialist of the Week.
On Saturday, Jan. 23, BYU traveled to face MRGC-rival, Boise State, at the ExtraMile Arena. Matching their season-high score, the Cougars walked away with a narrow loss, 196.325-196.250.
Alder contributed the highest score of the night on vault, earning a 9.875 to match her current career high.
Additionally, Alder matched that score on her floor routine, earning her Co-Floor Specialist of the Week, along with Boise State senior Maddi Nilson and Southern Utah junior Karley McClain. Alder received this accolade in Week 1 of the season as well.
