Abbey Miner earns 2020 second-team All-MRGC beam honors
LOGAN, Utah - The MRGC announced 2020 Beam Specialists of the Year and all-conference beam honors on Wednesday. BYU junior Abbey Miner was named second-team All-MRGC, earning a solid NQS of 9.835 on the event.
Utah State freshman Sofi Sullivan and junior Autumn DeHarde shared 2020 Beam Specialist of the Year accolades thanks to their conference-best NQS scores of 9.895.
Miner took sixth in the conference, close behind Boise State senior Isabella Amado and Southern Utah sophomore Shylen Murakami. A native of Mapleton, Utah, Miner competed in all 10 meets of the abbreviated season on beam, earning a season high of 9.900 three separate times.
This is Miner's second postseason MRGC honor this week. On Monday, she was named second-team All-MRGC on vault with a NQS of 9.840.
Coming up, the MRGC will announce 2020 Floor Specialist of the Year, along with all-MRGC honors for both floor and all-around on Thursday, March 26.
