MRGC announces Evans as Gymnast of the Week

LOGAN, Utah – Junior Shannon Evans was named Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Gymnast of the Week honors for her performance against George Washington and Maryland.

Evans scored a 39.425 in the all-around after earning a 9.800 on vault, 9.950 on bars, 9.825 on beam and 9.850 on floor.

Evans extended her weekly honor streak to eight as she was named Gymnast of the Week for the second time this season.

The Cougars continue on the road at Boise State on Thursday, Mar. 7, at 7 p.m. MST.
