BYU earns No. 24 ranking in WCGA preseason poll

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The BYU gymnastics team is ranked No. 24 after receiving 749 points in the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association preseason poll.

The WCGA announced the rankings on Monday as UCLA claimed the top spot. BYU will compete against two teams that are ranked in the top ten: Utah (5) and California (8). Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference (MRGC) foe Boise State is ranked No. 16.

The Cougars closed out the 2018 season with their highest national ranking in 13 years as it claimed the No. 17 spot.

BYU hosts its annual Blue and White Intrasquad on Friday, Dec. 14, at 6 p.m. MST. The competition will be held in the Smith Fieldhouse.
