Cougars on the road to face Michigan, Kent State

PROVO, Utah - BYU gymnastics travels to Michigan Friday to compete against Michigan and Kent State in its second-to-last road meet of the season.

"We just need to keep improving," BYU head coach Brad Cattermole said. "We need to keep doing what we're doing. Things take care of themselves at the end of the season, we just need to keep plugging along."

Friday's meet provides a good opportunity for BYU to face some of the nation's top teams. Michigan ranks in a No. 8 with a Regional Qualifying Score of 196.595, and No. 23 Kent State owns an RQS of 195.160.

The Cougars' current RQS is 195.005 through the first eight meets of 2014, with a high of 196.425.

BYU last competed in Ann Arbor, Mich., in 2010.

Live stats will be available for the meet, which begins at 7 p.m. EST. Live video streaming is also available for a small fee through the University of Michigan.
