BYU returns home to host Southern Utah
PROVO, Utah - After one week away from home, the BYU gymnastics team returns to Provo to host in-state opponent Southern Utah on Feb. 21 at the Smith Fieldhouse.
BYU and SUU rank No. 28 and 29 in the nation, respecitvely, scoring an average of 194.663 for the Cougars and 194.625 for the Thunderbirds.
The two teams have already met once this season in a quad meet at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City. BYU outscored SUU 194.550-192.025 in that meeting in early January, but Southern Utah has scored a 195 or higher in its last four meets, including a 195.550-195.450 win over No. 18 Denver last week.
The Thunderbirds last came to Provo on Feb. 23 last year when the Cougars won the meet, 195.800-194.075.
