PROVO, Utah – The BYU cross country program released its men’s and women’s 2021 schedules on Thursday.

The BYU men’s and women’s cross country teams will each compete in four regular-season meets, beginning on Saturday, Sept. 11 with the Cougars hosting the Autumn Classic at Provo’s East Bay Golf Course.

Women’s cross country will then travel to Tallahassee, Florida to compete at the FSU XC Open on Friday, Sept. 17. The FSU XC Open is hosted by Florida State at Apalachee Regional Park; the site of the 2021 NCAA Championships.

Men’s cross country will compete at the Roy Griak Invitational in St. Paul, Minnesota the following Friday, Sept. 24. The Griak Invitational is hosted by Minnesota at Les Bolstad Golf Course.

Both teams will compete at Utah State’s Steve T. Reeder Memorial in Logan, Utah on Friday, Oct. 8 at the Steve and Dona Reeder Cross Country Course.

On Friday, Oct. 15, each team will close out the regular season with road meets. The BYU men will compete in Tallahassee at the FSU XC Invite/Pre-Nationals and women’s cross country will race at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational.

BYU men’s cross country will vie for its sixth consecutive West Coast Conference title at the conference championships at Newhall Community Park in Concord, California on Friday, Oct. 29. BYU women’s cross country will look to win their fourth consecutive WCC title this season.

BYU will host the 2021 NCAA Mountain Regional at East Bay Golf Course in Provo on Friday, Nov. 12. The Cougars last hosted the regional meet in 2018.

The Cougars will look to qualify both teams for the 2021 NCAA Championships in Tallahassee, Florida on Saturday, Nov. 20. The BYU women's team will attempt to defend its national title this season with All-Americans Anna Camp-Bennett, Aubrey Frentheway, Sara Musselman and Whittni Orton all returning. The BYU men's team, two years removed from its first national title in program history, will aim to be a championship contender again with the return of 2020 individual national champion Conner Mantz and All-American Casey Clinger.
