The Athletes' Journal: Erica Birk-Jarvis
BYU Athletics has published its eighth entry in The Athletes’ Journal—a series featuring Cougar athletes telling their story in their own words.
Erica Birk-Jarvis, a junior on the BYU women's cross country and track and field team, shares her story of having a baby in the middle of her college career and the journey to come back and become one of the best collegiate runners in the country. Birk-Jarvis gained an even stronger appreciation for BYU and a supportive team as she learned that she could follow both of her dreams–being a mother and running.
The Athletes’ Journal series will regularly feature the unique perspectives of BYU student-athletes throughout the year. The series will provide in-depth insight into the lives of members of BYU’s intercollegiate sports programs.
The Athletes’ Journal will be published monthly on the BYU Exposure Gallery and will be available at BYUCougars.com and via BYU’s social media channels.
