Eaton Nominated for State of Sport Award

Lexi Eaton of the BYU women’s basketball team has been nominated for the inaugural Governor’s State of Sport Female High School Athlete of the Year award, hosted by the Utah Sports Commission.

The award honors excellence in high school, amateur, collegiate, Olympic and professional sports during the year 2011. Eaton led the Springville High School team to the Utah High School Championship in March 2011.

The nominees were selected by various sports media and industry leaders throughout Utah and the winners are determined by a “fan’s choice” voting format.
