Hamson Featured in WCC Web Show
PROVO, Utah—The West Coast Conference’s weekly “Road to Las Vegas” web show, which was posted Wednesday, introduces the league to two-sport BYU athlete Jennifer Hamson.
The show includes interviews with her coaches and teammates from the BYU women’s basketball team and women’s volleyball team. The almost-four-minute segment highlights her value to both teams and how she manages to stay ahead on the court and in the classroom.

In the current basketball season, Hamson averages seven points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game. She has 33 blocks on the season.
Hamson, a product of Lindon, Utah, helped the volleyball team to a 21-9 record and a 10-6 league record in the team’s first season as a member of the WCC. The 6-foot-7 sophomore garnered player of the week and player of the month awards during the season and ended the season with All-WCC First Team honors, Academic All-WCC honors, All-Pacific Region First Team honors and an All-America Honorable Mention.
She ended the volleyball season the Cougars’ top scorer, with 3.94 kills per set, 2.38 digs per set and 1.08 blocks per set.
Hamson and the women’s basketball team are back in action Thursday night, when BYU welcomes Pepperdine to the Marriott Center at 7 p.m. Thursday is Ward Night and admission is $10 per ward. There is no limit to how many ward members can attend per ticket.
