Three Players Garner League Academic Honors
PROVO -- A trio of players on the BYU women’s basketball team were named Academic All-Mountain West Conference by the league office, Tuesday.
Returning point guard Haley Hall along with forwards Dani Peterson and Coriann Wood were among the 149 student-athletes from BYU receiving academic accolades.
Hall, from Syracuse, Utah majoring in exercise and wellness, and sophomore Dani Peterson, who prepped at Skyline High School, each finished the winter semester with a 3.15 GPA. Junior forward Coriann Wood, from Basin City, Wash., compiled a 3.06 GPA as a physical education teaching/coaching major.
Student-athletes who completed at least one academic term, maintained a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average and were a starter or significant contributor on the team were eligible for the award.
