FORT COLLINS -- The BYU women's basketball team remains the only undefeated team in the Mountain West Conference after their seventh straight victory, a 67-58 win over Colorado State in Fort Collins, Saturday.

"We played a great first half today and did a good job of playing our best," said BYU head coach Jeff Judkins.

In every game this season, at least two BYU players have scored in double-figures. Against Colorado State, three Cougars scored in double-figures.

Jazmine Foreman finished with 12 points, her third game in a row in double-digits this season, and Mindy Bonham finished with 11 points.

Coriann Wood finished with 21 points of her own, her ninth time to record double digits this season. Wood's 21 points is a new season-and career-high with 12 of those 21 coming off four 3-pointers, also a new season-and career-high.

"I thought we played a good, balance game," Judkins said. "We didn't give them any easy baskets."

The Cougars started the game down 0-9 but easily overcame that deficit after a jumper from Bonham led them into a run that put them up 38-25 going into the half.

BYU would keep its lead throughout the game, despite a push for a comeback in the second half from the Rams. The Cougars recorded only 10 turnovers in the first half but would add 11 to that total in the second half. The Rams had a total of 26 turnovers.

Meghan Heimstra led the Rams with 19 points and eight rebounds.

Up next for the Cougars is another road game at Wyoming on Tuesday, January 19, and will be broadcast live on The Mtn.
