Tallying their third conference win in a row Thursday night, the BYU women's basketball team rolled over Colorado State 59-47.

"This is a great win for us," said BYU head coach Jeff Judkins "one of the best our team has ever had."

BYU improves to 14-7 on the year and 5-3 in conference play, while the Rams fall to 13-8, 4-4. This is the first win for the Cougars in Fort Collins since 1994 and the first time they have swept the Colorado State series since that same season.

Senior forwards Kristen Kozlowski and Ambrosia Anderson, and senior guard Julie Sullivan all scored in double figures, making this the 11th time this season that three Cougars have scored in double figures.

"Tiari Goold had a great game in the first half and so did Ambrosia (Anderson)," Judkins said "In the second half it was Kristen (Kozlowski) and Julie (Sullivan) who gave us some solid play."

BYU was strong on the boards with 41 led by senior forwards Danielle Cheesman and Kozlowski, who had nine each.

The Cougars kept Colorado State on their toes with a fast-paced game in the first half. BYU picked the ball from the Rams 11 times and recorded 12 fast break points.

With 13 minutes to play in the first half, the Cougars went on a 10-0 run that lasted eight minutes and put them on top for the rest of the half. BYU's largest lead of the half came at halftime with a score of 31-16.

"A lot of players stepped it up today," Judkins said.

Junior forward Ambrosia Anderson displayed the strength of the Cougar bench in the first half scoring 10 points.

BYU continues their conference play on the road at Wyoming Saturday at 2 p.m.
