Former Ute Bills Joins Cougar Coaching Staff

PROVO -- Former University of Utah basketball star Alli Bills has joined the BYU women's basketball coaching staff for the 1999-2000 season.

Bills, a former point guard for the Utes, played professional basketball in Europe before returning to Utah this year. Bills will be an immediate asset to the coaching squad. Her primary duties will include film exchange, team conditioning and teaching fundamental aspects of the game.

"She's an excellent addition to our staff," said BYU head coach Trent Shippen. "Her experience as one of the league's best point guards wil be good for us. She's got very good experience and more

flexibility."

Bills is equally enthused to work with the team.

"I'm totally excited," she said. "The girls came into this year with a spark and it's fun to come in as a coach and see them ready to go. I'm working with good coaches and good kids, and it gets me excited."
