Cougars Close Out Road Trip at Saint Mary’s
MORAGA, Calif. — BYU women’s basketball will close its three-game California road trip when it faces Saint Mary’s on Saturday, Feb. 13, at the University Credit Union Pavilion. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 p.m. PST and the game will be streamed live on the WCC Network.

ABOUT BYU (13-3, 9-2)
- The Cougars, fresh off a 65-52 road win over Pacific on Thursday, have won four straight and seven of their last eight
- BYU remains in 2nd place in the WCC standings, 2.5 games behind No. 17 Gonzaga and a game ahead of third-place San Diego
- Lauren Gustin is the nation’s second-leading rebounder (12.9 rpg) and ranks 15th in the country for double-doubles with nine
- Sara Hamson is averaging 2.8 blocks per contest, good for 15th in the NCAA
- Shaylee Gonzales, the WCC’s second-leading scorer, leads the team in scoring (17.9 ppg), assists (3.9 apg) and steals (2.5 spg)

- The Gaels, who lost 82-73 to San Diego at home on Thursday, have lost five straight and currently sit in 9th place in the WCC standings
- Junior guard Taycee Wedin (12.3 ppg) and senior guard Madeline Holland (11.9 ppg) pace Saint Mary’s in scoring
- Senior guard Brianna Simonich leads the Gaels in rebounds (8.7 rpg), assists (2.7 apg) and steals (1.5 spg)
- As a team, the Gaels rank fifth in the WCC in field-goal percentage (.414) and three-point field goal percentage (.329). They also rank third in the conference in three-pointers per game (6.9)
- Last season, Saint Mary’s finished 7th in the WCC regular season standings. The Gaels were picked to finish 5th in the 2020-21 WCC Preseason Poll
